Located in the heart of Wellsville Ohio, Center is Community Center is a non profit youth and community center. KCC offers you and your family the opportunity to engage with other members from your community while taking part in before and after school activities, youth summer programming adult education, community nutrition and wellness programs, adult education opportunities, and special community events. Our center also aims to develop and cultivate good values and skills that will lead to positive behavior in all our young and adult members.

KCC emphasizes youth health promotion programs that lead to adopting healthy habits when young and providing an education that empowers our children to make informed decisions about their health as the grow up.

Our program encompasses the lessons of the school day with the students' need to relax, refocus, and remember what it’s like to be a kid through engagement with their peers in age-appropriate topical conversations--plus games that foster friendship, belonging, and emotional maturity. Education is certainly part of the process, with individualized assistance with homework and learning by doing though fun activities that can include STEM or the arts.

Even at the best of times, there can be hard days. When our youth struggle, we remain by their side and support them in getting back to balance. We invest in our parents and ensure that they have the tools they need to best lead their families.
Nutrition

Every child who walks through our doors has access to fresh, healthy snacks and meals, hydration, sensory tools, and opportunities for active movement. When we start by meeting basic needs, we are able to create safety and grounding. We teach students about the parts of their brain and help them to focus on the elements of their life that they can control. Coping skills look different for each of our youth, and we empower them to discern what helps set them up for success in challenging times. We discuss our emotions and work to increase communication skills, so that kids can not only identify where they are at, but they can also articulate it to others. We advocate for our community and empower our community to advocate for itself.
